The Marcy QM25 is a 25mm flexible universal exterior replacement molding, sold as a 75ft roll. Suited for large glass openings on full-size trucks, commercial vehicles, and applications where a wide channel requires more coverage, it installs cleanly along the glass edge and holds its shape at the perimeter. Flexible compound navigates curves without buckling.

Width Selection Guide

Measure the gap between the glass edge and the surrounding trim or channel. At 25mm, QM25 is a wide-channel option suited for large windshields, truck cab glass, and specialty applications. If your measurement falls between 1" and 1.25", compare QM25 against QM31 before ordering — a width that's too wide won't seat cleanly.

What is Quantum Molding?

Quantum Molding is a flexible exterior universal replacement molding designed to fit a wide range of glass openings without requiring a vehicle-specific part. It installs along the exterior glass edge and provides a clean, weather-resistant finish. It's commonly used when OEM molding is damaged, missing, or no longer available as a direct replacement.

What's the difference between standard and Design Line?

Standard Quantum Molding has a uniform profile across the full width. Design Line versions (QM16L and QM19L) feature a decorative accent on the outer face. QM25 is only available in standard — for most wide-channel applications, a clean standard profile is the appropriate choice.

How do I select the right width?

Measure the gap between the glass edge and the surrounding trim or pinchweld. The molding width should match this gap closely. At wider dimensions, precision matters more — too narrow and the gap shows; too wide and the molding won't seat properly. Measure before ordering.

How is this installed?

Press the molding into place along the glass edge, typically after the glass has been set. Work around the perimeter section by section, pressing firmly into the channel. For tight curves, a brief pass with a heat gun on low makes the molding more pliable. A molding tool or wide flathead helps seat it evenly without scuffing the surrounding trim.

How much molding does one job use?

A standard windshield perimeter uses approximately 12 to 16 feet of exterior molding. A 75ft roll covers roughly 4 to 6 full installs. For large truck or commercial glass where the perimeter is longer, plan on the higher end of that range per job.
