Why is this retainer yellow?

Yellow nylon aids technicians in quickly identifying the correct retainer among a tray of mixed clips during door panel installation. The color has no effect on retention strength or sealer performance.

What does the integrated sealer do?

The sealer is a soft ring molded around the clip flange. When pressed into the panel hole, it compresses and forms a moisture barrier that prevents water from migrating through the door panel mounting hole into the door cavity.

Can I reuse these retainers after removing a door panel?

Retainers with integrated sealers should be replaced at each door panel removal. The sealer is compressed during installation and will not re-seal reliably if removed and re-installed.

How do I remove these without breaking the door panel?

Use a wide plastic trim pry tool positioned at the base of the retainer, not at the panel surface. Work around the panel edge, releasing each retainer in sequence rather than prying at a single point to avoid cracking the panel backing.

How many retainers are sold per pack?

These retainers are sold in packs of 25, 50, 100, and 150 pieces. Volume pricing is applied automatically at checkout.
