What is the difference between foam and nylon setting blocks?
Foam blocks are slightly compressible, which can help accommodate minor pinchweld irregularities and provide a small amount of vibration dampening. Nylon blocks are rigid and maintain a precise, fixed height. Foam blocks are commonly used in high-volume auto glass shops for their versatility; nylon blocks are preferred when a specific OEM setting height must be maintained exactly.
How many blocks come in each pack?
Each pack contains 288 individual foam blocks supplied on 4 pads. This format makes it easy to dispense individual blocks during installation and keep the remainder clean and organized on the pad between jobs.
What does the self-adhesive backing do?
The self-adhesive backing holds each foam block in place on the pinchweld flange while you position and lower the windshield glass. This prevents the block from shifting during placement, reducing the need for a second technician to hold blocks in position during installation.
What setting height do these blocks provide, and are other sizes available?

Are foam setting blocks removed after the urethane cures?
In most urethane windshield installations, setting blocks remain permanently in place once the adhesive cures — they become encapsulated within the urethane bond. Attempting to remove them after cure can compromise the seal. Always follow the adhesive manufacturer's installation instructions for your specific application.
