Does this fit the 2009–2014 Honda Fit?

The 90602-SAA-003 is specifically cataloged for the 2007–2008 first-generation Honda Fit (GD chassis). The second-generation Fit (2009–2014, GE chassis) uses a different cowl panel design. For 2009+ Fit, check the OEM part number against your specific vehicle's parts catalog.

Why is this retainer orange?

Honda uses color coding on their cowl and panel retainers so technicians can quickly distinguish clip types during service. Orange identifies this specific triple-head geometry with the 9.7mm stem diameter — different from the blue and white Honda cowl retainers that have different stem sizes.

What's a triple-head retainer?

A triple-head retainer engages three surfaces as it's pressed through a panel stack. This provides much higher pull-out resistance than a single or double-head clip. Honda uses them in cowl panel and radiator support applications where the clip must hold through vibration and wind pressure.

How many retainers does one Honda need?

Honda Fit and CR-V cowl panels typically use 8–12 of these retainers per vehicle. We sell in packs of 15, 30, 60, and 90 pieces. Replacing the full set during service is recommended — clips of the same age tend to fail together.

When should I replace these?

Replace them any time the cowl panel or radiator support cover is removed. Nylon retainers degrade over time and should not be reused once they've been removed from a vehicle that's 8+ years old. Installing new clips ensures a clean, rattle-free fit.
