What does underside glass molding do?
Underside glass molding seats between the bottom edge of the glass and the vehicle's pinch weld or channel. It creates a consistent seal, cushions the glass against the body, and prevents direct metal-to-glass contact. Proper underside molding also helps exterior trim and moulding sit flush around the glass opening after installation.
Why is 7mm such a common width?
7mm strikes a balance between narrow profiles (5mm) suited to compact vehicles and wider profiles (9mm–10mm) needed for trucks and SUVs with deeper channels. What is the difference between EPDM sponge and solid compound molding?
